The Coal Heritage Day Celebration is held on the last Saturday of April at the famed Pocahontas Exhibition Coal Mine and Museum. This day of celebration marks Pocahontas Virginia’s first day of our tourist season. This event recognizes the self supporting, National Historic Landmark and the thousands of tourist that come to visit each month between April and September.
The Coal Heritage Day Celebration will treat you to a free home cooked lunch and tours through this historic site. Everyone is welcome to attend this truly one of a kind experience. And yes, for one day, it is free!
